Description
An illustrated diagram of the Ebola virus replication process. The ebola virus is a single-stranded RNA filovirus responsible for severe hemorrhagic fever in humans. In this illustration, viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase transcribes the viral genome to create templates for replica copies, as well as mRNA's used for protein synthesis. During the process of translation, the mRNA translates the genetic information to create individual viral proteins. Image 4 of 5.
