Description
DR6 nebula. Satellite image of the DR6 nebula, which is found 3,900 light years away in the constellation Cygnus. It is home to a cluster of around 10 new stars. The dark areas were carved out by the intense heat and winds that shoot out from the center of the nebula. The DR6 nebula is 3.5 light years wide. Taken on 27 November 2003 by an infrared array camera aboard NASA's Spitzer satellite.
