Description
The peacock flounder, Bothus mancus, is recognized by its blue-circled spots. This is a female; the male's pectoral fin is very elongated, which it waves to display. It is very widely distributed in the tropical Indian and Pacific oceans. A very similar species lives in the tropical Atlantic. This species can change color and in this case matches the almost black substrate. Dive site "Biangabang Wall", Southeast Pantar, Biangabang, Indonesia.
