Artist's Description

The Chrysler building, which opened to the public in 1930, was the tallest building in the world until 1931. Designed by the architect William Van Alen, the building is a masterpiece of Art Deco style, with gargoyles that replicate the 1929 Chrysler automobile's radiator caps. The building is located at 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue in New York City.
