Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Harry Houdini (March 24, 1874 - October 31, 1926) was a Hungarian-American illusionist and stunt performer, noted for his sensational escape acts. He began his magic career in 1891. He performed in dime museums and sideshows, and even doubled as "The Wild Man" at a circus. He focused initially on traditional card tricks and billed himself as the "King of Cards". He soon began experimenting with escape acts. In 1893, he met a fellow performer, Wilhelmina Beatrice "Bess" Rahner. They married in 1894, and for the rest of his performing career, Bess worked as his stage assistant. He first attracted notice as "Harry Handcuff Houdini" on a tour of Europe, where he challenged police forces to keep him locked up. Soon he extended his repertoire to include chains, ropes slung from skyscrapers, straitjackets under water, and having to hold his breath inside a sealed milk can.
