Description

A favorable response to an experimental gibberellic acid treatment is illustrated by the 2-year-old loblolly pine at right. When this greenhouse plant was a year old, it was sprayed once with a solution containing 400 p.p.m. of gibberellic acid. A year later it has a stem twice as thick as the untreated pine at left, and moderately taller.
