Light micrograph of a keratin pearl (large circular formation) of squamous cell carcinoma arising in the odontogenic crypt. The keratin "pearl" is a characteristic of a more mature squamous cell carcinoma. In this specific case the cancer is forming in the tooth region of the jaw. Magnification 303x when printed at 10 cm.
