This color enhanced 3D CT reconstruction of the skull beautifully demonstrates the coronal, temporal and lamboid sutures in addition to demonstrating the facial bones, including the nasal bones, the maxillary bone, the zygomatic bone and the mandible. The skull sutures represent the juncture of the different membranous bones forming the skull. The coronal suture is the juncture between the frontal and parietal skull bones. The temporal suture separates the parietal and temporal bones. The lamboid suture is the juncture between the parietal and occipital bones. The frontal bone is teal, the parietal bone is blue, the occipital bone is orange, and the temporal bone is dark yellow. The nasal bone is green. The maxillary bone is red. The zygomatic bone is purple and the mandible is light yellow.
