Description
Smoke from the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, on 6th August 1945. The base of the smoke is spread over 3 kilometers and the column of smoke is rising 6 kilometers into the air. The first atomic bomb used in military action, which was nicknamed 'Little Boy' and dropped by a US airforce B52 bomber, exploded with a force of 12,500 tons of TNT. The explosion killed 80,000 and devastated the city. The death toll continued to rise over the years as survivors developed cancers associated with radiation; ultimately claiming over 200,000 lives.
