An early evening crowd gathers, circa 1959, to hear Ted Joans and some Beat Generation poets at "The Bizarre," one of Greenwich Village's coffee houses, located on West 3rd St. in New York City. Ted Joans (1928-2003) was an American trumpeter, jazz poet, and painter.
