Description
"A music teacher, Mr. de Vlaminck, struck on the idea of combining the melodiousness and sensitivity of tone of the string instruments with the tonal accuracy of such keyboard instruments as the piano and harmonium. He has patented a contrivance which is suitable for stringed instruments. The left hand of the performer is replaced by a mechanism which is brought into action by the keys of the piano keyboard. The piano is played by the left hand, while simultaneously the right hand palsy the violin, viola, or cello.
