Description
This enhanced angiographic image was obtained using 3D rotational angiograhic equipment. This image demonstrates an aneurysm of the intracranial internal carotid artery, at the level of the bifurcation into the anterior and middle cerebral arteries. Aneurysms are abnormal dilatations, (enlargement), of the blood vessel. There is a risk of rupture of the aneurysm with subarachnoid hemorrhage, which can be fatal.
