Description
The surface of Kepler-10b in front of it's parent star. This is the first rocky planet discovered in the kepler mission. The planet orbits at a distance more than 20 times closer to its star than Mercury is to our own Sun. Studies expect that temperatures exceed 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit is hotter than lava flows on Earth.
