Description
Mary Eliza Mahoney (1845 - 1926) was an African-American nurse. She graduated from the New England Hospital for Women and Children's training school for nurses and became one of the first black members of the American Nurses Association. She was inducted into the American Nurses Association Hall of Fame (1976) and the National Women's Hall of Fame (1993). No photographer credited, 1879 (cropped and cleaned).
