Description
Kepler-10b, is the tiny spec in front of it's parent star. This is the first rocky planet discovered in the kepler mission. This picture shows the perspective size of Kepler-10b in relation to it's parent star. It orbits at a distance more than 20 times closer to its star than Mercury is to our own Sun. Studies expect that temperatures exceed 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit is hotter than lava flows on Earth.
