NGC 2362 open star cluster. Artwork of the open star cluster NGC 2362, with its brightest star 30 Canis Majoris (Tau Canis Majoris) at center left. This star is seen near an imaginary planet which has two satellite moons (upper right). The cluster NGC 2362 comprises about 60 stars, and is about 3500 light years away from Earth. It is found in the constellation of Canis Major.
