Description
The presidential palace, Casa Rosada, in Buenos Aires where the Argentine president does his work. The pink color is said to have been the choice of two warring political parties, one red and the other white, who wanted to symbolize their truce in paint. Another more fanciful theory is that at one time the building was painted with cow's blood and that this dried pink in the sun. It is located on the Plaza de Mayo. Eva Peron addressed the crowds from the center balcony.
