Description
Rudolph Valentino (1895 - 1926) was a famous Italian actor who starred in several classic American silent films. He was a sex symbol of the 1920s, known in Hollywood as the Latin Lover (invented by press agents) and The Great Lover. His premature death caused mass hysteria among his fans and further propelled his status as a cultural film icon. Gelatin silver print by Donald Biddle Keyes, 1921 (cropped and cleaned).
