Description

Nanograss, a special silicon surface developed by Bell Labs that resembles a lawn of evenly cut grass, with individual "blades" only nanometers in size. (A nanometer is a billionth of a meter, roughly one hundred thousand times smaller than the diameter of a human hair). Nanograss causes liquids to interact with surfaces in a novel way, providing a method to precisely control their behavior.
