Artist's Description
Entitled "High lights and shadows" showing a partially nude woman, seated on stool, holding veil, hands raised. Cropped stereograph card photographed by Exhibit Supply Company, 1927. Risqu photography is material that is slightly indecent or liable to shock, especially as sexually suggestive. These mildly provocative stereographs were marketed for parlor use in the early 20th century. Used with a stereoscope, the side-by-side images would render in 3D.
