Description
In spring Wild Irises bloom all along the Oregon coast. These were photographed at Lone Ranch Beach in the Samual H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor. Iris is a genus of between 200 to 300 species of flowering plants with showy flowers. It takes its name from the Greek word for a rainbow, referring to the wide variety of flower colors found among the many species.
