Bacteria Staphylococcus aureus. A cluster of these Gram- positive bacteria. Staph.aureus often grow in grape-like clusters of small spheres. They are extremely common in humans, living harmlessly on the skin, inside the nose, or in the throat. When inside blocked pores in the skin, it can cause acne or boils. Serious infections are treated with antibiotics.
