Description
A carrion flower (Huernia hislopii kapugua) produced by a plant that comes from Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The plant is found in dry and arid regions, sometimes in full sun, but mostly partly shaded locations by rocks and shrubby vegetation. The plant produces a carrion flower and uses carrion beetles and flies as pollinators. This captive plant was photographed blooming in 2017.
