Description
A view of Saturn through a small portable telescope. It takes Saturn 29.5 years to complete one orbit around the sun. Because of the degree to which its rotational axis is tilted, its rings appear to change their orientation with regard to earthbound observers during that time. This picture shows them near the maximum extent of their tilt. When viewed on edge the rings are nearly invisible.
