Apothecary. 17th century satirical artwork showing the remedies, plants and equipment used by an apothecary (the forerunner of a pharmacist). These include numerous flasks, and pouches full of snakes. Several of the plants used are also shown here. Colored engraving by Martin Engelbrecht, 1721.
