Description
The Night-blooming Cereus (Peniocereus greggii) is a member of the Cactus family and native to the Sonoran Desert. This cactus grows as a thin, almost dead looking stick from a single stem in the ground. The very fragrant trumpet-shaped flowers, bloom for one night in June or July, then close with the first rays of the morning sun.
