The passionflower is a climbing plant, which is often enjoyed as an ornamental plant, belonging to the family, Passifloraceae. In Brazil, the passionflower, also known as the Maracuja, has been used medicinally. Pollen grains carry the male genetic material of flowering plants. They also trigger allergies in people.
