Description
Stunted tomato plants reveal the effects of different amounts of gamma radiation received in an experiment at Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, New York. The plant at right was heavily irradiated (24000 kilorads) while the one at left got no radiation at all, and everything in between received the labeled amounts of radiation.
