Description

Color-enhanced Scanning Electron Micrograph (SEM) of microspheres. These are used as a filter aid medium. The beads are surface-treated, to bind to specific chemical substances. This chemically embossed filter can be used, for example, in hospital wastewater treatment to target drugs before they reach normal drinking water. Magnification is 30001, or 2000x at 10 cm wide.
