The Sickle Snaggletooth, Borostomias mononema, is a dragonfish. The lure at the end of its barbell is bioluminescent. It used the structure to draw in prey. The species has been captured down to 650 meters depth, this individual was captured at 400 meters depth in the Gulf of Mexico, 2010.
