Artist's Description
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Soviet and Russian novelist and historian, famous for "The Gulag Archipelago" and "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich." Solzhenitsyn was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1970. Exiled from the Soviet Union in 1974, he returned to Russia later in 1994.
