Description
Amazon warriors belonged to an all female culture and society, reputed for their fearsome battle and fighting skills. Many still believe Amazon warrior women were purely myth, but various excavations in Central Asia and Europe, have founds women's graves, containing weaponry (swords and knives) and horse riding equipment, proportioned for a female hand and body. The women's bodies contained traces of potential kill tattoos that point to the fact the Amazon warriors would mark any kill in the same way as male warrior races would. Woodcut from Nuremberg Chronicle, 15th century (cropped and cleaned).
