Astoria Column, built in 1926 by the Great Northern Railway, contains fourteen 25-foot-long scenes representing important parts of Pacific Northwest history. It incorporates an Italian artform known as Graffito, which is a combination of painting and carving on concrete. At 125 feet tall, it overlooks a vast panorama of lower Columbia Region, Astoria, OR, USA.
