Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Entitled "Life of George Washington - The soldier." Washington on horse, soldiers fighting during the battle of the Monongahela. The Battle of the Monongahela, also known as the Battle of the Wilderness, took place on July 9, 1755, at the beginning of the French and Indian War, at Braddock's Field. A British force under General Edward Braddock, moving to take Fort Duquesne, was defeated by a force of French and Canadian troops under Captain Daniel Liénard de Beaujeu with its Native American allies. The defeat marked the end of the Braddock expedition, by which the British had hoped to capture Fort Duquesne and gain control of the strategic Ohio Country. Braddock was mortally wounded in the battle and died during the retreat near present day Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He specifically asked for George Washington, who accompanied him on the march, to oversee his burial. George Washington (February 22, 1732 - December 14, 1799) was the first President of the United States of America, serving...
