Guangdong, formerly known as Canton or Kwangtung in English, is a province on the South China Sea coast of the People's Republic of China. Buddhism is a nontheistic religion or dharma, "right way of living", that encompasses a variety of traditions, beliefs and practices largely based on teachings attributed to Gautama Buddha, commonly known as the Buddha (the awakened one). A temple is a structure reserved for religious or spiritual activities, such as prayer and sacrifice, or analogous rites. Entitled "Tempel des Buddha in Canton."
