Description
Camomile flowers (Chamaemelum nobile). These low- growing perennials belong to the Compositae family, which includes the daisies. They are native to western Europe, the Azores and northern Africa and have a wide range of economic uses. Camomile flowers are used extensively in cosmetic products for their scent, as well as for their colouring and conditioning properties. They are also used to flavour tea and are considered to be medicinal, infusions of camomile being used as a natural anti-inflammatory.
