Entitled "Aliéné enchaîné à Bedlam (Alienated chained to Bedlam)" man is sitting on a straw bed in a prison; he is wearing a shoulder harness which is chained to the wall behind him; his feet are also shackled and chained to the wall. Lithograph appeared in "Des maladies mentales considerees sous les rapports medicale, hygienique et medico-legal" by Étienne Esquirol.
