Galapagos Giant Tortoise (Geochelone nigra porteri or G. elephantopus). Endangered species. These tortoises live from 150 to 200 years and are the longest living vertebrates known. This is a dome-backed animal from Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos group. Jacksonville Zoo, Florida.
