Artist's Description

The region of the cerebral cortex dedicated to hearing, located between the upper aspect of the temporal lobe and the lower aspect of the parietal lobe. This region can be further broken down into three parts the wernicke's area, dedicated to language comprehension; the auditory association area; and the primary auditory cortex. This region allows for the perception of new sounds and stores memories of sounds heard in the past.
