This color enhanced posterior 3D CT reconstruction of the skull beautifully demonstrates the lambdoid suture and posterior aspect of the sagital suture. The skull sutures represent the juncture of the different membranous bones forming the skull. The sagital suture seperates the 2 parietal bones (orange and purple). The lambdoid suture seperates the occipital bone (blue) from both parietal bones (orange and purple). The posterior portions of the temporal bones are yellow.
