Artist's Description

Entitled "See Kar-Mi. Originators and presenters of the most marvelous sword swallowing act on earth." Joseph Hollingsworth (1872 - 1956) was an American vaudevillian who billed himself and his troupe under a variety of names; Joe van Victorina, Victorina, Kar-Mi, the Victorinas, and Victorina Troupe. His act included magic, sword swallowing and sharpshooting tricks. He retired from vaudeville during the 1930s, when he was in his 60's. He died in 1956 at the age of 84.
