Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania. Shown pointing is Kenyan archaeologist and anthropologist Dr. Louis Leakey (1903-1972), who helped to establish the field of paleoanthropology, the study of fossil hominds. The other two people are filmmakers Armand Denis (1896-1971) and Michaela Denis (1914-2003), who popularized a style of animal wildlife television programs shown on the BBC in the 1950s and 1960s.
