High magnification micrograph showing two multipolar neurons intermingled with myelinated fibers. The neuronal cell body shows large Nissl bodies and a large nucleus. Among neurons, numerous myelinated fibers can be seen. The rounded white holes are blood capillaries. 0.5 micrometre thick section of plastic embedded material stained with toluidine blue.
