Description
Four shoveler drakes in flight. The Northern Shoveler (Anas clypeata) is named for its distinct large "spoon" shaped bill, which is not much longer than the head, but its breadth and spoon shape make it unique among waterfowl. Sweetwater wetlands, Tucson Az.
