Description
Plesiosaurus are large marine sauropterygian reptiles with a small head on a long neck a short tail and four paddle-shaped limbs; of the Jurassic and Cretaceous. Sauropterygia (lizard flippers) were a group of very successful aquatic reptiles that flourished during the Mesozoic before they became extinct at the end of the era.
