Description
Promenade through Ephesus to Celsus Library. The ancient city of Ephesus was the second largest in the Roman Empire, 1st Century AD. The Library of Celsus was built in 135 AD. It stored 12,000 scrolls. In front facade was rebuilt, and is a prime example of Roman public architecture. The archaeological site lies 3 km southwest of Selcuk. The ruins are a favorite tourist attraction, with easy access from Kusadasi.
