Color enhanced scanning electron microscope image of prostate carcinoma cells grown in culture on glass plates. This specific culture is strain DU145, a classical prostate carcinoma strain and was obtained from a metastasis in the brain. Prostate cancer is a malignant tumor disease and originates from the glandular tissue of the prostate gland. The disease is asymptomatic in the early stages. In the advanced stage, bladder emptying disorders, bone pain. Later, weight loss and blood loss occur. If the diagnosis is made only when symptoms are already present, metastasis has already taken place. Magnification is 940x at 10 cm wide.
