Description
Quaking Aspen, (Populus tremuloides), during spring in the Colorado Rockies near Teluride. Quaking Aspen is a deciduous tree native to cooler areas of North America. A tall, fast growing tree, usually 65-80 ft. high, its bark is relatively smooth greenish-white to gray and is marked by thick black horizontal scars and prominent black knots.
