Description
Decorated receptacles for paint from Les Cottés (Vienne, France), a cave located at the southwestern margins of the Parisian basin, close to the Aquitaine. The cave was discovered during the late 19th century, and artifacts from the Early Upper Paleolithic period were found there. The Upper Paleolithic (or Late Stone Age) is the third and last subdivision of the Paleolithic or Old Stone Age as it is understood in Europe, Africa and Asia. Very broadly, it dates to between 50,000 and 10,000 years ago.
