Description

Transmission electron micrograph (TEM) of root cap cells from the root tip of a wheat seedling. The enlarged golgi bodies are giving rise to vesicles which fuse with the other cell wall secreting the mucilaginous layer (visible as a finely flocculent material outside the cells) characteristic of this tissue.
